Education is Mitigation
What happened? How did we get here? Why should we be worried? Where do we go from here? These are only some of the inquiry-based questions students can explore when participating in the Clark Fork River Delta Restoration Project.
Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education (SOLE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit based out of Sandpoint, Idaho will design and facilitate intentional experiential and outdoor education programming related to the Clark Fork River Delta Restoration project. As such, educators in traditional and homeschool settings have the opportunity to register their classes for stand-alone or custom-tailored experiential programming that will be provided as part of this effort. These experiences will provide ample opportunity to explore this vast wetland ecosystem, while learning about its cultural and natural history and the importance of the current mitigation effort taking place. These experiences may include interpretive hikes, floats, and service-learning projects.
