Come Plant Sedges and Rushes in June!

Join us to plant sedges and rushes in the Clark Fork Delta! See the Volunteer Event Calendar for multiple dates.

No experience is needed to participate in this work party but be prepared to break a sweat. All tools will be provided and will be waiting at the planting site. We will be using  dibbles, augers and other equipment to plant a variety of plants. Please dress appropriately for variable weather and wind. We recommend long pants that you don’t mind getting wet and/or dirty, long-sleeved shirts, gloves, sturdy boots and a hat depending on conditions.   Also be sure to bring your lunch and plenty of water.

Details:

Meet at 9 am at the drift yard parking area off of Hwy 2 between Hope and Clark Fork.
We will board a small motor boat that will take us to the planting site. Be prepared to walk through rocky and uneven terrain.We will return to the drift yard parking area at 3 pm. It may be possible to return earlier if necessary.
